Insurance Coverage

I am a Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BC/BS) and a United Behavioral Health (which includes Harvard Pilgrim) provider. Please note that prior authorization must be obtained for neuropsychological testing from these insurers, and they may only cover part of an evaluation. In addition, they do not cover academic testing or testing for educational purposes, including diagnosing learning disabilities or dyslexia.

Individuals with other insurance companies need to pay out-of-pocket. I am happy to provide a receipt for anyone who would like to pursue reimbursement from his or her insurance company.

Please call your insurance carrier regarding coverage and authorization policies.

  • Fees are based on type of evaluation, referral question, and time involved. Fees are discussed at an initial meeting.
  • Initial intake meetings and feedback meetings to discuss the results of an evaluation are usually covered by insurance.
  • Consultation services are billed by the hour, including time for review of prior evaluations. Insurance may or may not cover the cost of a consultation.
